I did it! I managed to go without my favourite--passy, for a day at Nai Nai's! And that evening when Papa and Mama came home from work they were so proud of me. Immediately after dinner, they brought me to Thomson Plaza and bought me a Barney balloon! Though they couldn't find the gigantic one I saw in a mall, a small one was a good start.
Mama said a promise is a promise. She will try to find that big Barney balloon she promised me. :) Yippee!

My passy
Just to share a great achievement; last Friday till Sunday, I didn't take my passy when I slept! Only once when I was outside, and that was only when Mama heart went all jello when she saw me struggling to sleep with my fingers in the mouth, like cold turkey. But that was also for less than 2 mins and Papa took out the passy.
I was cool about it. No struggles. No cries. I didn't miss it that much as I thought I would. Sometimes, when I recalled about it, Mama would ask me where it was. And I would reply, "Throw!" (because they showed me the broken one and said they needed to throw it away).
Each time when it was sleep time, Mama would cuddle up beside me and talked to me. She prayed and at the end of "in Jesus's name I pray...." I would say, "Amen!" I felt comforted.
But the first night was tough, I must admit. I tossed and turned around and even led Mama's hand to the side table where they would usually place the passy there. But after Mama told me that I am getting too big for passy and I broke a few already in less than a month, I got it! She even got a book, "Pacifiers are not forever" and read it to me many times. I like the page where it showed a grandpa with his grandchild on his lap because he needed some warm and comfort. I called that man, "Yeye!"
She even promised to buy me a big Barney balloon if I can hang on there! Sadly, when I'm back at Nai Nai's, I whined for it. Guessed Nai Nai had a softer spot and she gave me :PHehehhe...So now, I'm trying to push my luck with my parents at their place. Last night, I woke up several times crying for it. Finally, Mama couldn't stand it (because they needed to work the next day, right!?) and gave me the passy.
Well, hopefully I can hang in there still and finally get that big Barney balloon I like so much soon! Pray for me, ok? Not easy to kick a habit where you have been stuck with since 1 month old.
Definitely, there are more pros than cons if I kick this habit off. Mama and Papa said;
1. Without a passy, I could sleep through the nights because if I had it, and when it dropped, I would wake up crying for it until someone put it back into my mouth. And that could mean at least 2 times a night. So if I don't need it anymore, I can finally have an undisturbed sleep, my parents will be the first to shout hurray too! And they can have less of panda eyes the next day :P
2. If I can sleep without one and through the night, I can be home every night! For now, I sleep over at Nai Nai's on every Sun, Tue and Thurs night. Papa and Mama wish that I could go home to sleep with them often but these nights are precious to them as they need to do tons of house work chores before I get home over the weekends.
3. And if I can sleep soundly through the nights, I can be sleeping in my own nice bedroom independently! Mama has dreams of decorating it for me. A play room and a place for me to cuddle up at night too. But now, it's just an underutilised room.
4. If I can achieve no 3, Papa and Mama MAY be thinking of a little brother or sister for me! By then, my younger sibling can take over the "disturbing parental sleep" role! They wish I won't add up to their stress at night, at least the nights.....:P
So this time...let's see.....Maybe when all powers combined I can finally kiss my passy goodbye!

Dozed off during lunch
It was lunch time. I am usually not thrilled about food, especially, lunch at home. No one knows why. Maybe it's the food??! But hey, I could finish almost all of the same kinda food for dinner. So what's up?! Kids are a mystery sometimes. :P
During one lunch time, I dozed off! I had been running around at J8 that morning. So could be tired out.

Stacking cups--kitchen
Mama was cooking in the kitchen when I decided to "accompany" her. Since she was busy I kept myself entertained by taking out their party disposable cups from the drawer.
I took them all out of the plastic bag and spread them over the floor. I also "impressed" mama with my new stacking skill! Am I skillful or what?! Mama said to Papa when he woke up (ya, he slept extra long that day) that stacking up cups is a skill leh! It requires good eye-hand co-ordination, ok?! Not forgetting fine motor skills involved. HEhehheee..... :P
And I had yet again, digressed their attention away from my mischief! Yeah!! One word of advice to my counterparts, if you wanna make a mess, do it cleverly like me! Impress the adults with a skill or something and they'll be too "goo ga ga" over it to remember your wrong deed! Hahahahah....
Tada! My wonderful achievement! Cup tower!

"Thank you" & "Help"
I took crayons and kept saying, "Thank you!" & "Help" to mama. I had recently passed things to people and said, "Thank you!" I think I meant "Please take." Oh, well. They sort of mean the same, don't they?! At least I have courtesy! :P

Sand and water play at Pasir Ris beach
Sunday was Yeye's birthday. He booked a chalet there so Papa and Mama brought me to the beach in the afternoon. It was my first time playing with sand and sea water. I was hesitant at first, but soon warmed up (literally too!!!).
It helped even better when I saw 2 older girls next to me having a great time splashing in the water. So I wasn't afraid to go into the water when Papa led me in. I was eager to do what they do--Mama calls me a "copy cat" sometimes.
I had a thrilling good time at the beach! If not for that super duper hot sun scorching us, we would have stayed longer. :( Well, next time then.

Can I have the spoon? Thank you!
I have been learning (thanks, to my Papa!)to speak in sentences. Well, not exactly a pro yet. I can imitate very well though. Now I can also repeat after you. When my mood's in, I'll do it, that is. Especially, when I need a favour or something from you! There was once Mama met up with Grandaunt Colleen (she said she's lion) and other aunties, I heard her said, "...ya..ya.." And I started repeating that word :P

Bishan Park
Papa and Mama brought me to the Bishan Park for walk. The super hot weather didn't seem to affect me at all. I was walking around and curious of every little thing there. I liked to see the people, dogs and nature.
Papa taught me to jog in his "Ah Beh" slippers too! Hahhahaa...Then we went to see the doggie training zone. There were all kinds of dogs; big, small, fat, skinny, shy and aggressive ones. Mama thought that actually the pet owners themselves were already an astonishing bunch of people to watch, rather than their dogs. There were owners that dressed like tai tais and rich golfers, to young sun-loving teenagers and sporty foreigners like Japanese or Americans. Very interesting dynamics. But it was fun to see some dogs "bullying" others; chasing and barking at it. There was a huge dog being chased and barked at by a skinny little dog! Who says size matters, huh?!
Then we went to a restaurant in the park for our brunch. Papa and Mama liked their food. I had a pinched from them because mine was cooking at home! It was a great walk that morning. I slept for about 2 hours straight after my food and bath!

All fall in!
Mama bought me a new animal puzzle. But I prefer to take the figurines out to play. I would make the sound of each animal or their action (can't really make the sound of a rhinoceros, right?!) :P
Lining them on the TV console.
One of the favourite things I love to do with them was to line them up. When they toppled, I would call for, "Help! Help!" And Papa or Mama would help me. The giraffe and ostrich were the tricky ones.
My messy hair! Mama calls me, "Xiao Za Bor!" (crazy woman). Hmmmp! So impolite!

Gamers
Papa was playing his PS2, when I decided to crash in! So he thought me "how" to play games. I was more intrigued to see the animation. After a while, I got bored and went to read some books. Then it was back to Papa's game again. Sigh, why can't some adults grow up??! :P
Food allergy
I had food allergy (or so the GP said) last week. :( Apart from bad red rashes and swollen eyes, I was up and about, as usual. Doctor said I could be having food allergy, which my parents couldn't seem to tell what food. I hadn't been eating any new food/fruits and even if I had, that was like many days ago--Honey stars. Could be the extreme warm weather?? Hives?? Anyways, life's bad to normal, except that the eye bag areas still look darkened. Gong Gong saw me and thought I was sleep deprived! Hahahaha.... Well, perhaps, I need anti dark eye rings cream sooner than I though?!
Godma came to play with me on Labour Day. I was wearing this blue batik dress that she bought for me too. We went for lunch together and she came home with us for a while. Papa was sick and stayed home too (he was supposed to work that day). Thanks, Godma for visiting me. I like to play with you! :)
