Gugu's Chinese Wedding/Banquet

Mama's doing this blog entry late at night. Too tired already. Will let the pictures do the talking....

Cheerleader Lia

Last Sunday morning, I happened to catch a glimpse of Jacky Wu (Wu Zhong Xian)'s show while Papa was watching too. It was like a dance competition and a group of youthful cheerleaders were showing off their stunts. There were some hunks that could throw and catch little petite girls in the air and stand them on their shoulders. While standing, the girls could lift one of their legs straight up. and they held it there for some good few seconds before doing a back fall with someone netting them at the bottom.
During commercials, I immediately jumped down from the bed where I was and started imitating the stunts! The leg lift and back fall were new skills I wanted to learn! I threw myself onto my own bed again and again. But Papa stopped me after awhile because he didn't want me to do such dangerous stunts on the bed. :( The great copy cat strikes again!

Aunty Lynne's wedding

Last Saturday was Aunty Lynne and Uncle Joel's wedding ceremony. I was the flower girl and Mama was the bridesmaid. As mama guessed as much, I didn't fulfil my role as a flower girl. I didn't wanna get down to walk with Denzel gor gor (though he was really cute and charming).

I just wanted to cling onto Mama so she had to carry me and we did our walk together. Guess I was wasn't given more time to warm up. Soon after the march, Papa brought me outside the hall and I was jumping around. Finally warmed up, huh? But after a while, Papa managed to coax me to sleep. Denzel gor gor was also very tired, but he told his Daddy that he will find a way to "block" his sleep! HAhahahaa..he's one funny fellow!

So I slept a bit while my parents could eat at the reception and managed to take some photos with friends. Mama really missed her old Faith friends. Growing up with them and serving together were the best time of her youth.

Mama wants to let me know that I should "Remember God in the days of your(my)youth" so that when I grow older by the years and the inevitable different phases in life set in, I will still love and serve Him faithfully because I have tasted of His goodness just like she did. It's hard to deny someone when you have seen and know that that Someone loves you very much, right?

Ok, then it was banquet. My parents had nai nai to help babysit me while they finally, for the first time I was born, could sit through a banquet, in peace and calmness! They can't thank Nai Nai enough for her help.

Mama was glad she was able to catch up old friends from Fatih. She also dedicated a song to Aunty Lynne and Uncle Joel with Uncle Siak, "When I fell in love" by Dennis Jernigan. Amazingly, Aunty Lynne wanted to pick this song for the march in too! But she picked another one over this for some reason. And Mama told her that this song was so old that only the melody and a few words came to mind when she prayed for God to enlighten her.

She couldn't even get pass the first two lines! But Uncle Siak has super memory and recalled word for word.

Unexpectedly, as Mama was singing, Papa received a call from Nai Nai--I was down with cough and sore throat. My parents were quite worried. Having a fever is the last thing they want. But God is good, I was better in a day's time. And no fever! Praise God!
