Monkey see, monkey do

My parents were hooked on a Canto drama serial one weekend while I was very bored and decided to play with my lion. Mama heard me using a firm and bossy tone saying, "Open mouth big big! Arh!! Open! Open mouth! Arh!" So she looked over and caught me feeding my teddy bear with my play spoon.

She immediately signaled to Papa to watch too. To her, I looked like I was imitating the adults feeding me! ahhaha....but sounded more like Papa because of the firm tone. Mama is usually a silent feeder. She doesn't coax much or try to sing/talk funny things with me so that I can eat. She simply can't multi task like that, I guess. If I don't finish by a certain time, she'll just remove my meal because she believes satisfying hunger is a survival instinct; you'll eat when you're hungry.

But Papa will coax, play and trick me to eat and eat. Meal times with Papa is usually very loud and noisy (well, at least to Mama). He's a typical man--objective-focus, when it comes to feeding time, he wants me to eat more! So he'll try all ways to make me eat as much as he can shovel the spoon into my mouth.

Sometimes, he gets firm with me when I stubbornly refused to open my mouth, even at the beginning of a meal and that was how I learnt to sound like him when I was feeding the lion, "Open mouth big big!!" Mama thinks it's amusing to see a little mirror image of papa in me. Papa thinks it's good I know meal times are meant to be taken seriously sometimes; eat when you have to and don't be picky.

Too bad when Papa managed to film this clip, I already was done "scolding" the lion.
