Olympics--Closing ceremony with Lia

Mama saw that I love to imitate the Olympics Rhythmic gymnasts so much and thought of improvising a ribbon stick for me at home. Made with chopstick and a red ribbon, I happily took it and started my "dancing career" at home!

I remembered some of the stunts that the gymnasts did, like swaying the ribbon in the air, lifting up legs, somersaults, and lying on the floor. I also recalled a finale pose--arms opened wide and bent down low with legs crossed (sounds so complicated already!). I would do this pose and said, "Stop!" Meaning, the end of dance. HAhahahaa...Papa walked passed and started laughing.

I'm like their entertainment. It's no wonder they don't need SCV that Mama had been wanting to get. :P

Oh, and I literally forced Papa to dance with me too. I made him laid down, but he didn't know what that stunt was. But I just found it fun! Who cares! ehehheee....

Montessori--scooping cotton balls & colouring (not Monte, of course!)

Mama had finally got the time to do this activity with me again. But this time, she used cotton balls. They were much lighter for me to scoop. I could scoop one ball at a time from the left bowl to the right.

At one stage, I saw the bowl moving away and used my left hand to hold it still. Another milestone! Problem solving skill. Previously, I would just let it moved till it dropped and wondered what happened! Hahahaha....I also explored the scooping with my left hand, but I think it didn't serve me well like my right hand.

Oh and part of Montessori's method that Mama learnt was that it teaches children to be responsible over their play materials. So she told me to keep and put the containers back where they belong (I know where). But I was too short for the cupboard top. (Don't say I never try!)

Then Mama saw some colouring books of Barney and Strawberry Shortcake at the market. She bought the latter more for her deprived childhood lah! I don't even know who in the world that Strawberry is! So wasn't too keen to colour it. But I played with the stickers that came with it.

Mama kept that Barney colouring book as her lethal weapon in the car. It's only meant for me to colour when Papa and Mama need to attend church services "peacefully". So I can only colour it in church, how evil! Humph!
