Flu bug
I'm sick since last Saturday. I couldn't go out; no church, no shopping malls, no beach, no swimming....:( So miserable. My nose keeps runny, and my cough's bad, worse, I have fever up and down.
Sigh. Mama says staying home to look after me is more tiring than to bring me out for the weekends. I keep running about (strange, the medicine is supposed to knock me out), touching things that I am not supposed to, throwing things out from drawers, climbing on sofa, the list goes on.
Plus, I hate taking medication. So my dear parents had to resort to "force". You need 2 persons to make me swallow the medicines. One to pin me down, the other to force it down my throat. Can I sue them for child abuse?! I guess not. I know they meant well and medicines are absolute necessary. But I just can't open my mouth to take them. No one could make me drink without me putting up my best struggle and cry. Not even my favourite persons; Yeye and Nai Nai.
So this is why my poor Mama and Papa are so tired out. Mama dread medication time because she simply can't harden her heart to put me through this ordeal, yet very much needed so that I can get well. Worse, my appetite wasn't good. So can you imagine, every 4 to 6 hour interval, there's a "war" going on. If you intend to look after me even for a day, you need literal loads of patience and love, and this is not being cliche! And I must say, I am blessed with these wonderful people who really cares for me.
Monday, at Nai Nai's house was cool. I got to watch Hi-Five like nobody's biz, hmm...actually, started nobody's biz since last Saturday lah. Now I'm into Hi-Five! I can watch intently and followed the dances for a good 1 hr! Not good Mama, would say. But since I'm sick and cranky most of the time, they relented.
Soon, my good happy Hi-Five marathon days would be over! So bye for now! I'm off to watch some more! Oh, and now, at 7pm, I'll point to the TV and say, "Ah Wang!" He's my new favourite character!

Pat-a-dog; shoo-the-cockroach
One day, when my 2 grand dearies brought me for a walk, I chanced upon a neighbour's dog. So nice of him to allow me to pat his pet. I made friends with it!
Talking about pets, last night I came home after dinner from Novena Sq and sat at my magnetic board to play. Among the pile of magnetic toys, I saw something running passed my knee and I freaked out! Mama saw the expression of my face and was between fear and laughter (she couldn't decide which to display though!).
It was a cockroach! I didn't react, just froze there for awhile exactly like what Mama did. But all maternal instinct kicked in when she braved herself to 'rescue' me from that creature! The moment she carried me, I grabbed hold of her with my dear life with trembling fear. Good thing Mama didn't scream (which I think she would want to). If not, I would have cried.
After Mama told me that Papa would catch that blacky, and "throw it away", I felt better. I even showed her the "throwing" action to reinforce my bravery! hahahaha...True enough, when Papa came back from the car park, he rescued us all! Papa, our hero!

family portrait
This is my family portrait! Mama decided to have a casual theme this year. So we were all dressed in denim and white! It seemed easier for the photographer to take nice shots when I was 5 months old. This year, it took her about 1 hr to snap some nice ones. Hmmm...perhaps, simple things like "girl girl, look here!" "mei mei, see teddy bear" and "zhe bian zhe bian" (here here) (try harder) didn't intrigue me as much now.
I was busy being fascinated by the decors in the studio, the computer, chairs, lights, flowers, sofa, and the list goes on. So how to you expect me to FOCUS and SMILE, right?! Sigh, these adults. Sometimes, can't seem to see the world through our little eyes.
Anyways, Mama chose this photo of me pointing to something.

Went Terminal 3 for dinner
I went to T3 with Papa and Mama after our walk at the East Coast Park. They were thankful that I started eating at least half of my usual portion for that day after a long period of "Food boycott". I even ate some of Mama and Papa's food to show my sincerity!
By the way, after the energy boost from the food, I was running even wilder! Just kept running like Forest Gump! No one and nothing could stop me!
Mama and Papa got to use "Uncle Policeman" to scare me because on one occasion, I ran into the ticketing counters where tourists checked in! Hahahaha..But I still ran, just kept my index finger to my lips--my way of showing that I didn't want "Him" to know! But that action didn't seem to synchronize with my body language. ahahhahaa...
Oh, I also ran in and out of rows of chairs, screaming excitedly. I kept having the feeling that someone was chasing me, perhaps. And it was great fun! At one point, Mama got to use "Uncle Policeman" to stop me (yawn). Old trick.
Well, gave her face. Did my Shhhh.... sign, but kept running still! Then, I was let down. Didn't get to see any aeroplanes as the T3 gallery has tinted and windows too far for visibility leh! Sigh....How do sad families and friends wave goodbye to their love one from there leh??!?!?!
