Bubbles at Botanical Gardens

Papa and Mama brought me to Botanical Gardens last weekend. Papa bought me a new bubble gun and we just couldn't wait to try it out. I always love to play bubbles. Only Papa and Yeye are the two main persons that will play that with me enthusiastically too. Whenever I know either of them will bring me to play bubbles, I will exclaim, "Yeah! Blow bubbles! Blow bubbles!"
I had such a great time that day but the heat was a killer. Guess I was overly tired and got very cranky later in the night. "More bubbles, Papa!" Papa chased bubbles with me too! So fun!

Ops, bubbles burst on my face! Mama trying to take an artistic shot. Good try, Mama. I walked on myself because my parents were too slow!
"Aiyah, why can't my Mama walk faster.
Nice pic with my Papa. Mama likes my smile here.

I looked like a big girl, don't I?! Crossed legs some more.

Can see the caterpillar hanging from the vine? I was terrified. But seemed like Papa was too!

To Mama -- I Stand Amazed

This song is one of Mama's favourites. God's love always leaves her in amazement. How can anyone not want such relationship with such a loving God. Which god you know WANTS a relationship with you in the first place?! Only one true God.....

Watching the video clip made Mama missed her vocal ministry in Faith AOG. Amidst the "stress" that the responsibility of 500 odd people going into the Holy of Holies was placed in her hand (so to speak), she greatly enjoyed the process of growing in this ministry with her friends then. The fears, struggles, tears and joy they shared throughout the years of service were invaluable. Iron sharpens iron, it's true.

To all her friends in Faith AOG: Continue to press on for Jesus! You are an instrument of praise. We look forward to the DAY that we shall worship Him unceasingly.

To My Papa -- God Will Make a Way

Papa, if you're reading this, this song is for you from your little princess to cheer you on.... We hang in there together because God will make a way.

Trip to Dr Henry Cheng

On Monday, Mama booked an emergency appointment with Dr Henry because she didn't feel my lil sister's movement for some days. Mui Mui will usually flutter in Mama's tummy when she starts to eat. But no matter how much she ate during those few days, Mama just simply couldn't feel the "butterflies in the stomach" feeling.

Then as she was in the office taking a break. She was mentally focusing on names for Mui Mui and alas, my lil sister gave a few flips and kicks! Mama instantly felt bad and happy at the same time. Happy, of course to know Mui Mui is well. Bad because she realised, perhaps, all Mui Mui wanted was Mama to think about her.

Mama had been so loaded with work and having to take care of my needs that thinking of Mui Mui was almost close to rare. Unlike when she was having me. I was always and constantly on her mind since conception. She talked to me (most of the time in her head while travelling, shopping, waiting for someone....) She felt guilty for giving Mui Mui so less a time, even if it was just to "think" about her.

So Mama said a little prayer to God for Mui Mui that she will not feel unwanted, left out and rejected. Mama always tells people that "This one is a compromised one" because Papa wanted 3 kids, and Mama, just one. But this lesson taught her to retract her words. No child of God is made by accident or out of a compromise. We are all willed by God to existence (well, even if some parents claimed otherwise). We are wanted and desired by our heavenly Father.

So Mama didn't want Mui Mui to feel dejected and promise to think of her more often from now on. And that includes me! I pray for Mui Mui every night before I sleep, "Dear God....bless...baby...mama stomach (meaning, bless baby in Mama's stomach)"

To Mui Mui: Papa, Mama and I love you! Jesus too! Grow well, strong and healthy!

Oh, and for sure, Dr Henry said all is well with her too after the scan. Thank God!

My day in Childcare

My 2nd week back to school after Bronchitis. I cried miserably. Kept holding onto Ms Seng's hand only. Here you can see Natasha trying to ask me "What happened"? I replied with a cry, "Mummy!"
Strange, I usually call "Mama", but in school I cried for, "Mummy!" I think it's better because if I say "Mama" no one knows who I am looking for. Mama thinks it's a smart way of crisis-coping strategy! Ahahahahaha....But she still came over when I was about to go home and corrected me. She loves me to call her "Mama" instead.
Still crying. I would cry for Ms Seng's attention, especially if another kid has gotten hers! And only I could hold her hand or go near her. If not, I would nudge the kid to go away! Possessive leh!
At Water Play time. Mama took pics from kitchen so I won't see her. She was like a PI!
See I only stood near my ever patient Ms Seng!
Then my supervisor, Ms Karen helped Mama to go out and take these pics.
Finally, a little smile on my face.
I refused to wear apron for water play.
Still holding her hand.
Back in class. Mama, the PI, took from another class. She caught me imitating teacher, like giving orders to children with an index finger pointing before this shot. While I was doing that at the other side, Ms Seng called for me and I went back to sit down.

Tunnel time! I was happy.
We were all waiting for our turns.

Ms Seng told Isabel to keep the bin's lid. But I took it instead and showed it to her. She told me to give it back to Isabel because it was Isabel that took it out. But I just wanted Ms Seng to look at the lid. Hehehehehe....
I still insisted....she also insisted it must be Isabel who should keep and told me to pass to her.
Even Qu Lao Shi said likewise.
Ms Seng: "Evangelia, give to Isabel to keep." And so she did. But don't know why after a few seconds, I went to push Isabel. Good thing she was strong and didn't fall.
Ms Karen caught me in the act and corrected me. See my guilt-hiding face?! Pretending nothing happened. When I got home, Papa and Mama remembered to correct me further too. :(
But Isabel was so nice. She still shook my hand, but I was busy squeezing my ears! My bad habit when I am tired or when I am idling.
Ms Seng walked away and I cried for her!!
Ms Karen brought me to wash hands before lunch.
At dining area. Eating fried Bee Tai Mak. But I didn't finish, only drank up the soup.
Feeding myself.

First time eating honeydew! Not bad, I ate 3/4 of it. Then said to Mama, "Throw away!" Think I develop a bad habit of throwing food away if I don't want it anymore because that's what teachers do to me! I have to be rushed home. Hmmm....mama said grace period is over soon...oh no....
Then Nai Nai came to fetch me! My grams had gone to Shanghai for mission trip for about 9 days already. And she came to fetch me the very day they touched down. I think she missed me alot. hehehehe...called Papa early in the morning the moment they reached home too, but I was still soundly asleep. My doting grams, what can I say?! :)

"Big Picnic"--Qing Ming

Going to Shao Mu--"cemetery visiting and cleaning" is termed "Big Picnic" by Mama, Gu Poh Colleen and Bu Gu Poh Becca. It was a day when a huge coach would be chartered to ferry all the big gang of relatives to the various cemetery locations. Can be somewhere between 25 to 30 people. Imagine the noise polluted by the number of people, mostly women.

They loved to sit at the back, or at least where the food were! There would always be egg cakes, kuehs, roasted pig, soft drinks and many more! Just like a picnic. They ate and ate, from tomb to tomb. Therefore the term, "Big Picnic."

But since many had grown up; some married to overseas, some with little kid like me so not very convenient to lug along, some went on their own separate day and some who had gone to a "better place", the bus is not as packed. But the spirit of knowing our roots and remembering those who had left us first remains, thanks to the faithful and loyal few who insist that this "family tradition" must go on.

So Mama packed me along with Papa, and went with them, but this time, we drove because we went from church and it was my nap time. Mama missed the noise-merry making time in the coach and cracking silly jokes about those pre-believing relatives who burnt Gucci and LV bags for her grandma and grand aunties! There was one year, 10th great grandaunt burnt a mobile phone for her 6th sister. And one nephew teased, saying she might get calls from her sister soon since she gave her a mobile phone! Hahahahaha.....10th great grandaunt was very disturbed after that for some time.

Then Mama thought, maybe they should burnt notebook or computer too, then can email, do blogging about hades and even go on facebook! Hahahaha....
Papa borrowed Yeye's car. Need to warm up his engine since my grams went China for a week already and also can load more things.
Simply love to wear caps!
My "Mystery" hand sign I learnt from High Five.
Then I was hungry and went Jurong Point for my dinner. I love spaghetti!
Now I am using more of my right hand already. Let's see if I am a righter or lefter soon.

At Titus's 1st Birthday & Papa's buddies gathering

At Fish and Co, IMM.
(Ops, Mama uploaded the pics in reverse order--night then pm. And she is too lazy to rearrange, no time. So visualize it yourself in reverse order, ok?)
We went to Uncle KS and Aunty Evelyn's house after Titus's celebration for a game of WII. Then we went to Fish and Co, IMM, to meet Uncle Edwin, Aunty Su and Baby Sophie.
Baby Sophie is so cuddly!
Baby Sophie checking out my bony hand?! Was she hungry?!
We stared at different angles. Hmmm....
Mama and me, best friends again.

Mama and Papa brought me to Titus's 1st birthday celebration at Bangkok Jam, Great World City. I was asleep when they sang the birthday song. When I woke up, was grouchy as usual. Refused to play with anyone. But soon warmed up when we were about to leave. Happy Birthday Titus!! Aunty Yanni took some pics of me! And I gracefully posed for her.
